Dismissal
School officially ends at 3:25pm. Due to the staggered protocols in place this year, we could be outside a few minutes earlier. I will always bring the class out the west side doors and we will wait there as a group for everyone to be picked up. Bus students will be sent to the bus line at 3:25pm. There will be a bus line supervisor to support the students waiting for the bus. I will wait with the pick-up students until everyone has gone. At 3:35, if any students are still left, I will bring them back inside and we will call their listed contacts to remind them that school has ended.
It is important that your child knows what their after school plans are. It's best if plans are consistent so everyone can remember and keep track easier. If there is any doubt, I will hold students at school and make a phone call as I would rather know they are safe with me then send them somewhere where they maybe shouldn't have gone. If your after school plans change throughout the day, you can email me or call the main office. If it is after 2pm, I recommend calling the office as I may not have time to check my email before the end of the day. If you've sent an email in the morning notifying of a change in after school plans, and I haven't replied to that email by 2pm, call the school to confirm your change in plans as I may have missed the email.
If someone other than usual is picking your child up, you must let us know ahead of time and we need to know their first and last name and a brief description of appearance. If I am in doubt I would have the pick-up person wait, and give you a call before sending your child. I also inform any substitute teacher of these policies. Also, please ensure that whoever is coming to pick-up your child knows that we are on the west side of the school.
